The aim of this course is to introduce students to the basic terminology of the theory of public finance. Tuition is hand out into two thematic parts - first part is concerned with a definition of basic terms and theoretical approaches in the sphere of public finance, attention si paid also to economic analysis of public goods and to aspects of public choice, then to theoretical background of budgeting and differencies between public and private budgets. The second part connects foregoing knowledge and concerns about situation in the Czech Republic - students are in detail informed about budget system in the Czech Republic. Attention is paid also to fiscal imbalance and international public finance. The theme of current trends in the sphere of public finance, theories of taxation and social security are also parts of this course.In this course, encouragement of private activities from public budgets is also discussed.
