Vodní stavby a úpravy toků
The course contains basic information on watercourse modifications and hydraulic structures. The course follows up the courses Water regime in landscape and Water management. The foundation is a brief overview of engineer hydrology, hydraulic structures typology and history of river engineering and watercourse modification, including current trends in water management. By completing this course, student acquires knowledge in the issue of hydraulic structures and water management in the context of the Czech Republic. The lectures contain particular topics listed bellow, the seminars contain simple practical assignements demonstrating the methods used in water management focused on particular projects, excursions to selected hydraulic structures, and trips to specialized departments.
